The company that I currently work for wants to go in a different direction.

They want to continue to keep certain food stores open that are making them money and the stores that we are losing money in they want to close.

It’s logical in this sense. I wouldn’t want to keep stores open that were making me lose money. One of the strategies that the CEO and president wanted to do was move one of our stores that is located on a busy street and rent out a newer space that is across the street and in a plaza. I think this will certainly help with profits because this plaza has heavy foot traffic. I was able to tour this new spot with some other people from management and there were a lot of windows and the ceiling was exposed where you could see the ductwork. There was a decent amount of ductwork and the ductwork wasn’t the hard steel that you normally see it was flexible ductwork. I was impressed because it was a brand new ductwork system and HVAC system that was installed just a few months ago. Knowing that there was new heating, ventilation and air conditioning installed was reassuring because you know that there would be very minimal heating and cooling issues. I think if we moved into this space it will be a dramatic difference in temperature control for our customers and employees because we are constantly using the ceiling fans to stay cool during the summer due to the fact that the current air conditioning system is not reliable and will only work on certain days. Moving into a newer space with an updated HVAC system will truly help with the profit in this store location.

I have always hated job hunting.

• I really dislike having to tell your former employer that you will no longer be working there anymore.

Trying to come up with logic and respectful reasons as to why you are putting in your two weeks is really hard. I have always been told that as long as you tell the truth and do it in a thankful and respectful way your exit interview out of your former position should go smoothly. Of course that depends on how your boss is. I have done at least two interviews so far and the first interview I went to was interesting. The office was very modern and you could certainly tell that there was central heating and cooling. That is a big thing that I look for in a company because the current company that I work for now does not have central heating and cooling. In the wintertime the electric baseboard heaters kick on and that’s what heats the office. In the summertime maintenance will install window air conditioning units. The bulkiness of window air conditioning units are unsightly and take up room. When I went to this interview I looked around the office space and there were no window air conditioning units or electric baseboard heaters. I saw air registers and I could feel the cool air pumping out of the vents. It was certainly a different work environment, one that seemed very environmentally friendly since I saw that they had a new smart wifi thermostat. I have always wanted a smart wifi thermostat installed in my home. I am excited to see what the result is for this interview!

I did not want my furnace to break down in the middle of winter where I would be left stranded with no heat

There are days where I just like to sit in my home and read a book. I can read books for hours on end. I like all types of books from science fiction to romance novels. I’ve always been a bookworm ever since I was a little girl. I also like to read books when I’m at a coffee shop either right after work or before. I even like to go to bookstores to read books. I like to read a few chapters before I buy a certain book. Reading books is very calming to me and I enjoy the atmosphere of being in a bookstore. This is because the people who go in bookstores are very similar to me, they love to read. When I’m at a bookstore I will sometimes see people who will read digital books. I do not like digital books, I would rather have something in my hand in print. The other day while I was at the bookstore I saw the Farmer’s Almanac. I decided to read it, the Farmer’s Almanac predicted a very brutal and cold winter. This reminded me that I should contact my HVAC provider. I contacted my HVAC provider to have my HVAC system prepared. I did not want my furnace to break down in the middle of winter where I would be left stranded with no heat. It’s always important to me to be on top of my HVAC system whether it’s during the winter or the summer. An HVAC system is almost like the heart of one’s home. It’s what keeps your house warm and cool for you to live comfortably.

During the summer time it’s always a time for me to clean out my home and have fun outside.

I like to clean out my basement and my attic which is full of items that I don’t use anymore.

I will donate the items that I don’t use to my local thrift store. I always know that these items are going to a good home because people around my area don’t have a lot of money. This is because the economy where I live is not very great. There isn’t a lot of job opportunities and if it does it does not pay very well. In the summer I also like to have my HVAC system maintained. I will call my HVAC technician to have him take a look at it. Before my HVAC technician came to my home I turned on my air conditioning system for the first time this summer. Once I turned on my air conditioning unit through my thermostat I could feel the cold air coming out of the air register. But once I looked down I could see dust and other particles bursting out. That’s when I realized that I needed to call my HVAC provider. My HVAC provider told me that the reason why there was dust coming out was because my air ducts were dirty. He asked me when I installed my HVAC system and ductwork, I told him about ten years ago. He said that I was well overdue for a ductwork cleaning. In less than an hour my ductwork was cleaned and I had very minimal dust in my home.

I don’t mind when I have family and friends over for a dinner party. However can get kind of the morning when I have to clean my whole house. I made sure I cut up some of the vegetables and then use it the night before I had to cook them. I prepared my meals before I cleaned. I like to make sure my house is completely clean. So all my guests won’t have to experience dust and a dirty environment. I was making a five course meal, I had a lot of the food almost ready when I looked at the top of my fridge near my air vent and I saw how dirty it was. I grabbed my duster and started dusting. It seemed like all the surfaces that were near my air vents were dusty and had other particles. I couldn’t dust my whole house in a matter of twenty minutes since my guests were showing up soon. So I just dusted the most obvious surfaces that needed the most cleaning. With all of the dust and remembering that my daughter was sneezing all week, I forgot that it was time to change my furnace’s air filter. Thankfully I had an extra air filter in my basement. Changing the air filter aided in the cleanliness of my home before my guests showed up. Considering the fact I didn’t have enough time to dust the rest of my home. I’m glad I thought of this because my air quality will improve. Not to mention my house will be less dusty and my daughter won’t be sneezing as much.

My grandparents passed away about a year ago.

• We had to go into their home and clean up a lot of their things.

We boxed up a lot of their personal possessions. A lot of their other items were handed out to family members that were stated on the will. My family members wanted to redo the whole home. However there were some family members who just wanted to sell the home. After a big consensus, everyone decided to redo the home and keep it in the family. It could be used as a summer home when family wanted to get away from the city and take a weekend into the country. When cleaning the home we bought a big dumpster to get rid of old furniture and junk. We saw that my grandparents boiler was still at the house. Some of the family members were going to move it. But my uncle who works at an HVAC company told us to not move it. He said that the firebox may be full of fuel. He said that one bad move could make for a possible disaster. He also said that any boiler that hasn’t been used for a long time (which it has) shouldn’t be touched. My uncle had a flammability meter probe that he took out of his work truck. This was to measure the LEL (lower explosive limit). He wanted a second opinion so he decided to call a few of his workers down to look at his boiler.

I’m always looking for ways to maximize the efficiency of my home. I try to make sure that I shut off lights in my rooms when I’m not in them. I always change my HVAC air filters so my HVAC system is not running as hard. If you do not change your HVAC air filters than your system could be running more than it needs to. A few tips that I have been given from my HVAC technician is to have my furnace tuned up and inspected by an HVAC professional. This is to ensure that it is safe and ready to use before the cold weather approaches. He has also told me that I need to keep the area around the furnace clear. I should also always keep checking my air filter so there’s no build up. This is to allow maximum air flow through the filter. It’s important to check the air filter consistently so your furnace doesn’t run harder and consistently break down. Dirt and other particles make this hard for your HVAC system. Always listen to your HVAC technician. I remember my neighbor didn’t listen to his HVAC technician’s advice and ended up doing repairs on his HVAC system by himself. It turned out that one morning he woke to a fire in the basement. Therefore leave the intricate HVAC system to a highly qualified and licensed HVAC technician. I never touch my HVAC system unless it’s to check and clean the air filter.

I enjoy being in the comfort of my home.

The only time I will actually leave my home is when I have to go to work or to the gym. Otherwise I’d rather just stay home, relax, and get ready for the next day. My one friend always wants me to go over to her house for parties and get togethers. I don’t mind them here and there but I’m kind of a homebody and I enjoy being alone most the time. Plus every time when I go over to her house I’m usually either freezing or sweating. During the summer I am sweating because she does not turn her air conditioner on. She’s one of those people that think green and go over the top about saving energy. To be honest I don’t think she saves as much energy and money as she thinks she does. However she doesn’t keep in mind that her guests are dripping with sweat each time they come over. This even occurs in the winter. During the winter I am freezing because she doesn’t turn on her heat because she still wants to save energy and money. Everytime that I host a party at my house I try to make sure my guests feel comfortable as possible. However she doesn’t do a very good job at that and is not a good hostess when she has guests over to her home. Hopefully she will learn how to use her HVAC system more efficiently than just not turning it on.

Now that it is a new year, I figured I would set some resolutions, but one of those resolutions is to be a better person, then i believe I can accomplish this by doing numerous things. One of those things is donating clothes that I do not wear, doing volunteer work, as well as educating myself more with books! By educating myself more with books I want to labor on my mind. I want to produce a healthier mind. I do not want one that is filled with technology. I want to have less screen time. One technology piece that I will keep on using is my HVAC system. I stay up to day with the most recent systems. It is technology but we need it. It also benefits my health if I let it. I can install a humidifier, a dehumidifier, an air cleaner as well as a ventilation system. I can have all of these things if I absolutely want them! They will all benefit my overall health. It mostly benefits my physical health in affecting my breathing air. By installing each one of those systems I can ask for better skin, furniture as well as better air. The air quality of my home can increase hugely just from these things. I have contacted an HVAC supplier already. I set up an appointment to have them come to my house. I will need them to size my home so that I can respectfully install the right equipment. It seems as if this year is going to be a wonderful year for me. I cannot wait to improve my overall health.

I like to know that I am a savvy shopper.

By this I mean that I know how to spot a bargain and take advantage of deals whenever possible.

I am always on the lookout for coupons and sales in order to make my difficult earned dollars stretch as far as possible. There are, however, times when I forget the simple rule of saving cash, never buy an item that is out of season. I am not simply referring to the items in the grocery store either. Did you ever stop to know that things like appliances have a season too. Take my Heating as well as A/C device I bought this summer, I went a/c shopping on the hottest afternoon in June. This was the worst time to buy a portable a/c because the prices were jacked up and there were no deals to be found. Stores and dealers knew that if you were buying a device on a afternoon like that you would be willing to spend money anything just to cool your home. If I had thought about it last fall when all of them were at the end of the summer time prices I would have gotten a far better deal. The same can be said for your boiler. If you need to replace it in the middle of winter time then you need to be prepared to spend money top dollar for it. If you know that your system is failing you may want to look into the replacement in the middle of Spring or Summer as the prices will be lower. Heating as well as A/C companies are trying to get rid of last year’s models at that time to make room in their stores for new inventory.
