I have a space heater under my desk

On top of that, I can put a space heating system under the desk in my home office without getting in trouble from my employers because I’m not in a multi-use building at home

When a great portion of the international workforce started working from home at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I wondered how long my job would last in this setting. I figured that my employers would push us back into the offices the minute local governments allowed it, something interesting happened. Their employee productivity levels quickly increased and we were all meeting higher quotas than ever before. I know that this wasn’t the case with every business though, as some people were inevitably distracted by working from within their own homes for the first time in their lives in many instances. I was used to working in my new home because this is where I finished my last year of university and the place where I worked before I secured my new job position. I like that I can set the temperature inside my new home to whatever most keeps me comfortable. I don’t have to worry about adjusting to whatever temperature the building is set to when I arrive at work in the morning like I did before. On top of that, I can put a space heating system under the desk in my home office without getting in trouble from my employers because I’m not in a multi-use building at home. I live in a house, and I’m not close enough to any other homes to ever threaten others beyond myself when it comes to fire hazards. Still, that doesn’t mean you should be frivolous with space furnaces just because your safety is the only one being threatened in that situation.

More about heating

Looking to improve my wood heating setup

Ever since I was old enough to safely swing an ax, I have been helping our family chop wood.

I am ecstatic that I learned the skill early on because now that I live alone, there is no one but me to keep our wood supply restocked for every winter time season.

Unfortunately, temperatures seem to get colder and worse every single year, as our region hits current records for lows, then last year our power grid was hit especially hard and some cities in this state went without electricity for a month and a half while the energy companies desperately tried to restore them. It’s hard to stay warm in freezing temperatures if your means of heating your home is taken away from you. But for me, this isn’t an issue as I’ve always relied primarily on wood heating for our homes to prevent ever relying too much on other forms of energy. That way I have heat even in the worst weather conditions. That is critical for surviving in a frosty environment. and, I have made updates to our wood oil furnace over the years. Instead of using the fireplace built into the wall, I have several separate wood stoves on opposite ends of the home that do a fine job of releasing heat into the air without losing too much of it up either chimney. I also have those little fans that run off heat energy that you can affix to the tops of each wood stove to push some of that radiant heat around the room and disperse it better.

Improving my wood heating setup

Ever since I was old enough to safely swing an ax, I have been helping my family split wood.

I am happy that I learned the skill early on because now that I live alone, there is no one but me to keep my wood supply restocked for every winter season.

Unfortunately, rapidly changing temperatures seem to get colder and worse every single year, as my region hits new records for lows. Last year our power grid was hit especially hard and some cities in this state went without electricity for a week and a half while the energy companies desperately tried to restore them. It’s honestly hard to stay warm in cold rapidly changing temperatures if your means of heating your house is taken away from you. But for me, this isn’t an issue as I’ve typically relied primarily on wood heating for my homes to prevent ever relying too much on other forms of energy. That way I have heat even in the worst weather conditions. That is critical for surviving in a cold environment. and, I have made upgrades to my wood heating idea over the years. Instead of using the fireplace built into the wall, I have several separate wood stoves on opposite ends of my house that do a nice job of releasing heat into the air without losing too much of it up either chimney. I also have those little fans that run off heat energy that you can link to the tops of each wood stove to push some of that radiant heat around the room and disperse it better.

Getting creative with my wood heating setup

Ever since I was old enough to safely swing an ax, I have been helping my family cut wood.

I am happy that l learned the skill early on because now that I live alone, there is no one to help me to keep my wood supply restocked for every winter season season.

Unluckily, temperatures seem to get colder and colder every single year, as our region hits new records for lows. Last year our power grid was hit especially hard and some cities in this state went without electricity for a week and a half while the energy companies desperately tried to restore them. It’s hard to stay warm in freezing temperatures if your means of heating your home is taken away from you. Heat pump repair

They had to hire an Heating and Air Conditioning worker

They went ahead to hire an HVAC worker to check it out

I must admit I wasn’t sure about it when Bob asked if we could do something different for the holidays. Every year, we stayed home with the kids and opened presents on Christmas morning. But this year he felt we should go on an adventure. This turned out to be the best experience, though there were some challenging moments. Bob found a winter trip rental anywhere nice and calm that was available, so he opted to rent it for a week. We packed up our things, and the presents and set off on a winter adventure. The drive to this trip rental wasn’t too bad, however there was so much ice on the road that I had to drive slowly. It took a long time to get there, however the view on the way, and the adventure spirit was amazing. Plus, it helped that the car had the best heating that kept us comfortable. When we arrived at the trip rental, I went to turn on the furnace, but nothing happened. It was already late so there was no way to get anyone to inspect it at that hour. Luckily, I had packed some space heaters so we used all of them that night. The following morning, Bob spoke with the rental agent about the faulty furnace, and they were apologetic. They went ahead to hire an HVAC worker to check it out. It didn’t take long for a HVAC worker to come by, do a bit of repair and leave the device running. The heating method made Christmas morning blissful, and that was the best time ever.

Dad confesses he was hesitant when mom asked if we could go somewhere for the holidays.

Each year, we stayed at home and opened presents on Christmas afternoon.

However, this year mom felt we should go on an adventure, and this turned out to be awesome though there were some challenging moments, and mom found a winter trip rental somewhere nice and calm. Fortunately, the locale was available, so mom rushed to rent it for 10 days. We packed up our things, and the presents and set off on a winter adventure. The drive to this trip rental wasn’t too bad, however there was so much ice on the road that dad had to drive slowly. It took 6 hours to get there, but the view on the way, and the adventure spirit was amazing. Plus, it helped that our truck had the best heating that kept us comfortable. When we arrived at the rental, dad went to turn on the gas furnace, however nothing happened. It was already late so there was no way to get anyone to inspect it at that hour. Thankfully, we had packed our space heaters so we used all 3 of them that night. The following afternoon, we spoke with the rental agent about the faulty gas furnace, and she was apologetic. The lady was fast to hire an Heating & Air Conditioning expert to check it out. It didn’t take long for a Heating and Air Conditioning expert to come by, do the repair and leave the unit running. The heating plan made Christmas afternoon blissful, and that was the best experience ever.

She went to turn on the furnace

Angela must admit she was a bit skeptical when Matt asked if they could go somewhere for the holidays.

Every year, they stayed at home with their son and opened presents on Christmas morning.

However, this year Matt felt they should go on an adventure. This turned out to be the best experience, though there were some challenging moments. He found a winter season trip rental somewhere nice and calm. Thankfully, the locale was available, so he opted to rent it for seven days. They packed up their things, and the presents and set off on a winter season adventure. The drive to the rental was good. However, there was so much ice on the road that Matt had to drive slowly. It took hours to get there, but the view on the way, and the adventure spirit was amazing. Plus, it helped that our Jeep had the best heating that kept them comfortable. When Matt, Angela and their son arrived at the trip rental, she went to turn on the furnace, but nothing happened. It was already late so there was no way to get anyone to inspect it at that hour. Good for them, Angela had packed two space heaters so they used them that night. The following day, Matt spoke with the rental agent about the faulty furnace. She was apologetic, and went ahead to hire an Heating and Air Conditioning professional to check it out. It didn’t take long for a Heating and Air Conditioning professional to come by, do a bit of repair and leave the component running. The heating plan made Christmas afternoon blissful, and that was the best experience ever.
