I had been waiting for the Job Fair that they had every year.

Only the senior class was allowed to go, since the people there were looking for new hires immediately.

The reason my friend and I were anxious for the Job Fair was because we didn’t need to go to class. We were walking through the cafeteria and talking to everyone. I couldn’t believe how lame this was, and I almost wished I had stayed in class. I stood there watching one booth and everyone was laughing. I nudged my friend and told him we needed to go there next. We stood there listening to them talk, but it was more than a job push. I asked him if they had any special tools to do the job? He was showing me simple wrenches and screwdrivers like I used at home when I was helping dad. He asked what kind of things I helped with and if I enjoyed it. I had to admit that the best time I had at home was when dad and I were working together. I had a talent for working on electronics, washers, dryers, and even the refrigerator. He told me he thought I might enjoy being an HVAC technician. They both talked about the HVAC company and how long they had worked there. He gave me a pamphlet and told me that if I was interested, they would put me on part-time and let me go with the older HVAC techs. I couldn’t believe I was interested in HVAC as a career.

When the virus hit and I was forced to send all my employees home to work indefinitely, I was worried that productivity would be low. I was someone who enjoyed coming into the office because I knew I could focus better and I was more disciplined in my work. I also knew that some of my employees performed better in an office setting as well. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see our productivity levels stayed consistent once everyone got their home offices set up. For the past 6 months, everyone has been working from their own spaces and staying safe from the virus. Now that restrictions are lifted and I’ve been given the okay to let my employees return to work at the office, I was anxious to get everyone back together. The weekend before everyone was scheduled to return, I went into the office to clean and replace the air filter. I wanted everything to be sanitized and the air quality to be fresh. When I turned on the furnace, I waited a few minutes to hear it kick on but it never did. By the time I was done cleaning and replacing the air filter, the furnace never started. I called an HVAC contractor to come look at it and he gave me bad news. Unfortunately, the HVAC system had sat unused for so long that the outside unit had frozen. In order to thaw it out, he had to turn off the thermostat and then run the fan for several hours. I let the fan run all afternoon and when I returned the following day, my furnace began to run after I turned it on.

I was given the most incredible gift for my birthday and I can’t stop raving about it.

My brother and sister-in-law gave me a brand new smart thermostat. I had a bad habit of complaining to them about how difficult it was to run my furnace and air conditioner efficiently. I was constantly adjusting the temperature on my old thermostat and changing the programmable settings because I wanted to find a good balance. I wanted to feel comfortable in my own home without raising my energy costs. Unfortunately, there was no way for me to see how efficiently I was running my HVAC system until my utility bill came in the mail. I’d read about smart thermostats, and I knew my brother and sister-in-law had one at their home. They showed me the app that was downloaded to their phones, where they could change the temperature from anywhere at any time. They also showed me how the thermostat programmed itself based off of their heat and air patterns, and there was a page where they could see how efficiently everything was running. The smart thermostat was capable of alerting the homeowner whenever a new air filter was needed or if something was causing the HVAC system to run inefficiently. I’m so happy my brother and sister-in-law gave me my own smart thermostat! I took it home and installed it right away. I can honestly say that it’s made a big difference in the way my furnace and air conditioner run.

The North Pole is really cold, and if you decide to live there, make sure you have a very good furnace.

Some people build their own houses there and think that an average furnace will work to keep them warm, but this is not the case.

I am an HVAC technician that loves to help people get the perfect furnace for their home. I did some research and found out that people living at the North Pole were in desperate need of a good HVAC technician that knew his way around any type of furnace and could work on a furnace in cold weather. I decided to move to the north pole and dedicate my time to working on furnaces and helping people pick the best furnace for their home. One of my first customers had a problem with his furnace not starting up. The reason his furnace was having problems was because it was installed in a cold corner in his basement where it was way below freezing. This man had a hot water boiler heating system in his home, and it would get so cold that the water in the hot water boiler would freeze. I uninstalled the hot water boiler and installed it ina much better place. Many more people have had the same problem, or they just didn’t know how to fix their oil furnace or gas furnace and figured that it was too expensive to get their furnace fixed so they just relied on a fire place to keep them warm. I must stress how important it is to have a good HVAC technician install your furnace.

We were lost in the woods for hours with no air conditioning or heat.

That sounds like a small problem when you are lost in the forest.

But where I live, it gets extremely hot during the day and freezing at night. When we first went out into the forest, we didn’t think we would get lost. We were starting to sweat from the heat when we realized we were lost and out of water. When evening came, we found an abandoned shack. Outside of the shack we saw an old central air conditioner unit. The central air conditioner unit looked like it had been sitting there for centuries. We figured this old air conditioner wouldn’t work, but we entered the old cabin anyway in hopes that the air conditioner would work and give us some relief from the heat. We went to the small old thermostat on the wall and turned it on. To our amazement, the central air conditioner started to work! It took a while, but eventually the air conditioner managed to cool the little cabin to a very comfortable temperature. We set up camp at this cabin and settled down for the night. We also found an old wood furnace in the house as well. We managed to fix some of the pipes and then to light the wood furnace. We slept nice and warm that night. When we found our way home, we ended up going back to cabins which we named the HVAC cabin and we fixed it up and polished the old central air conditioner and wood furnace. We now have many memories in the HVAC cabin.

 

Whole home heating

My wife and I visited a foreign country last summer.

We saw some of the most interesting and amazing sites.

We took an airplane from one country to the other and then we took a cruise and a train to several different destinations. One of the places where we stayed was a hotel that was located in the deepest part of the forest. The hotel was surrounded by trees and the branches towered over the small inn. Since the hotel was in the middle of the forest, temperatures inside of the building were much cooler than other places in the area. My wife and I did not expect a 20 degree temperature shift, but it was absolutely much colder in the middle of the forest. My wife and I were thankful that we had a nice heater in our room. The heater was clean and seemed to be new. The heater had a digital thermostat so my wife and I could adjust the temperature. My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our time in the forest and we got to see some amazing sights. One tree has been carved completely by eroding and running water. The tree looks like it has a river running right through it. If we had not stayed in the hotel, we would have been forced to hike 6 hours to see the interesting and bizarre tree. Of all of the things that my wife and I saw while we were in a foreign country, the hollowed out tree was definitely on the top of our list.

Air conditioning installation

Every year before the first cold winter snap, my wife and I have a full system tune-up performed on our heat pump.

When my wife and I moved south, we rarely had to use the heat pump at all during the winter season.

Over the past 20 years, the weather patterns have changed and we have been forced to use the heat pump more and more frequently every winter. My wife and I started having a full system tune-up performed on the heat pump a couple of years ago. We felt strongly that the full system tune-up helped keep the bills lower in the winter. The two of us have had this heat pump tune-up performed every year since 10 years ago. On Tuesday, my wife and I scheduled an appointment to have the heat pump service performed. The young man that came to our home to perform the service was not a person that my wife and I easily recognized. My wife and I assumed that this service technician was new to the business. We politely introduced ourselves, but the heat pump service technician was rude and discourteous. He didn’t even shake my hand when I extended it. The guy barely said a word to either one of us while he was working on the tune up and he was in and out of our house in record time. My wife and I surely hope that he performed a thorough service even though he was in and out faster than anyone else in the past. If something goes wrong this winter, I know who we can blame.
furnace/heater repair

My husband and I bought a house last year and it was the first time that either one of us had something that was just ours.

We lived in an apartment for a while and then we bought a condo. The condo was ours, but we had to share our yard and the street with other people. It never really felt like it was a home. Last year, my husband and I decided to buy a house. We outgrew the condo and the place was no longer big enough for our family of four. My husband and I searched a lot of different properties before we found the right place for our family. My husband and I were excited that the new house had a fireplace. We moved to the property shortly before the winter season began and we were excited to use the fireplace the first time that we had a cold snap. My husband was at work, but I stacked up some logs and some small pieces of wood to create a nice pyramid. I used a long match to light the small pieces of wood under the large logs. I had a small fire burning when I realized that the room was filling up with smoke. I opened the flu and most of the smoke left the room, but there was still a lot of soot and smoke in the room. I decided we should call a cleaning service to make sure that the chimney wasn’t clogged. It was a good idea, because there was a large buildup inside the chimney and that was the main reason why the room was filled with smoke.

 

Central heating

When I was outdoors trimming some of the trees in the backyard, I accidentally hit all of the fan blades with the hedge clippers.

The clippers tore right through the fan blades and mangled most of them.

I was really ticked off and annoyed, because the air conditioner was practically brand new. I certainly didn’t want to replace the entire air conditioner just because I messed up the fan blades. I found a special tool online that helps straighten all of the blades very quickly and easily. I ordered the special tool and I chose express shipping so it would arrive in 3 to 5 business days. I didn’t use the air conditioner during the entire time that I waited for the tool to arrive. I didn’t want to take any chance that the lack of airflow would cause harm to the air conditioner. I used the air conditioner in the bedroom and I left the door open all day and all night. It was still warm inside of the house, but thankfully it wasn’t the middle of the summer when the problem occurred. The special tool for the air conditioner arrived 3 days later. I was totally surprised by the ease of use. It only took a couple of minutes to straighten all of the fan blades. The tool made it absolutely easy to get the job done quickly. I don’t know if I will find much use for the interesting HVAC tool in the future, but I’m going to hold on to it just in case.

Whole home air purification

Even though the weather is really cooling down and the temperatures are getting colder and colder, we are still going camping this weekend. We don’t usually mind a little bit of cold weather and we certainly don’t mind the snow most of the time. My husband came up with a funny way to keep us safe in our tent when we go camping, even though it’s probably not the safest way to provide heating. See, he got so desperate last winter to get out into the great outdoors that he decided that he was going to figure out a way to provide heating to the tent. At first, he was trying to figure out how to build some sort of a fireplace inside of the tent, but he quickly realized that this plan was just too dangerous and downright crazy. That’s when he changed his way of thinking and he started to figure out a plan to use a generator and a small electric space heater to heat the tent. It’s a really small tent and so it doesn’t take all that much to provide heating for that much of an enclosed area. I still think that it’s dangerous to use the generator and the little electric space heater, but I guess it’s still better than the alternatives that he has come up with. I told him that I would go camping with him this weekend, so I’m packing up all of my warm clothes and preparing myself for the cold weather. We might even go ice fishing if we can find a frozen lake.
