“zoo” requires advanced heating plus cooling

Sporadically I assume that I just have too massive of a heart.

I know, that is a silly thing to say about yourself.

However, at this point my sensitivity is honestly getting in the way of leading a successful life, and every day I managed to see something that breaks my heart. Whether it’s a person kneeling on the side of the road or someone waiting outside of a grocery store looking hungry, I end up handing over half of my paycheck each month to helping other people plus animals. It’s a good problem to have. However, I need to take care of myself. Recently my desire to take care of animals has gotten a bit out of hand. I’ve been collecting them for a few years now, trying to find new homes for abandoned pets. At this point, I assume I’ve kept more animals than I’ve given away. The massive problem is how this is affecting my respiratory health these nights. Since I have 10 cats plus pets in my house, the air isn’tconsistently the freshest. Even with my AC plus heater running 24/7, I don’t feel like I am ever breathing in scrub or fresh air. I try to open the windows whenever I can, but living in the South there aren’t several nights when the weather cooperates with that idea. Instead, I end up with tepid plus humid air inside my house that still odors like pet plus pet shit. There is literally clumps of hair floating around in the air when the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system kicks into gear. At this point my eyes plus lungs are so irritated everyday is that I can barely see her breathe. Recently, I’ve been talking to the local Heating, Ventilation & A/C business, asking what can be done to fix my respiratory concerns! Now it’s looking likeI have to install an whole-house air purifier or I have to trade in all of my abandoned animals.

A house without ducts

What’s honestly awesome about these Heating plus Cooling options, is they don’t require air ducts in order to treat your entire home

Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about downsizing, frankly for the past few years I’ve lived with way more than I needed to be happy. I had so much stuff in a massive house plus I still wasn’t happy. I realize that having all this junk in my name doesn’t mean anything if I don’t appreciate it. That’s why I am undoubtedly considering building myself a undoubtedly tiny Smart Home. You know, like those honestly trendy small houses that have taken over the internet? I’ve decided my best bet is to live in one of those. there are a ton of advantages to living in such a small space, obviously. First of all, there isn’tmuch to clean… Secondly, you don’t need much light. Lastly, I honestly won’t need a ton of Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment in order to keep the air tepid or cold to my liking. Since it’s such a small volume, I assume I can get by with a pretty small central heating plus cooling system too. I started to assume about this the other day plus even got online to look at some current Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment. I just wanted to see what was out there, plus I was not disappointed with the air handling possibilities that I found. I even found some current Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment that can be installed in your home in less than a day. These are mini split heating plus cooling systems. What’s honestly awesome about these Heating plus Cooling options, is they don’t require air ducts in order to treat your entire home. They simply have an indoor plus an outdoor unit that pass fresh air back plus forth. Since I am going to be living in such a tiny space, I assume I can get by with a single mini-split ductless heating plus cooling system plus be perfectly comfortable

Good thing garage has Heating & A/C – moving

Last year I went through one of the most stressful moves of my entire life with all of the housing debacle as my friend and I experienced.

  • My friend and I were trying to purchase our first home, but there was nothing but problems when it came to closing.

The sellers were reluctant to change things my friend and I needed. Then they had the work done, inofficially. Then the energy supplier insisted that they transfer an entire utility pole before my friend and I can transfer into the house. And finally a big storm ripped through our part plus brought down some trees that had to be removed from the property. All in all my friend and I spent months waiting to get into the house… During this time our things were in a odd purgatory. There is nowhere for us to put our stuff, but our outdated lease was expired, plus my friend and I could not get into the new house. In a panic, my friend and I negotiated with the sellers plus wound up storing everything in the garage of the new home. There were a few problems of keeping our things sequestered to the garage but luckily the air quality was not one of them. I guess, thanks to fantastic karma, the garage was well-insulated plus linked to the home’s central A/C system. This month that is long as the sellers kept the thermostat set to a reasonable temperature, the garage was also cool plus dry. My friend and I were able to store our things in this air conditioned space for about a month. If my friend and I didn’t have Heating & A/C maintenance in the garage, I have no idea what my friend and I would have done with all of our belongings. My friend and I absolutely could not afford an air-conditioned storage unit.

Seal up that house – all new windows plus doors

My bestie is so funny to me sporadically! I swear to God she does not guess before she does things, then that’s where I come in, to maintenance all of her problems, but recently she isbeen on this big energy saving kick.

I guess it’s a fantastic idea, don’t get me wrong.

There’s nothing I would like more than to spend less on our monthly bills, plus help the Earth while we’re doing it, then lord knows I don’t have extra money to be handing over to the energy supplier every month. That’s why it seems like a truly fantastic idea when she wanted to optimize our Heating & A/C system to the most energy-efficient models on the market. I was all for this Heating plus Cooling update! However, I was not the most happy when I realized that she didn’t plan on improving the rest of the house before my friend and I purchase this lavish high-tech air conditioner equipment. Why is that such an issue? Because my friend and I live in an outdated house that needs a lot of work done. I don’t see the point in purchasing some lavish air handling component when all of the treated air is just going to flow straight through the ceiling, however as far as I’m anxious, my friend and I need to seal of this house before my friend and I even consider buying more lavish Heating & A/C products. It’s not going to make any difference if all of our boiling plus cold air just flows right outside. That’s why as she isat the Heating & A/C store browsing for boilers plus air conditioner units, I’m at house diligently ceiling off all of our doors plus windows. If we’re going to invest in this equipment, we’re going to keep the air in the house.

Programmable thermostat is making life harder (boyfriend)

I could have sworn that we were promised amazing new life efficiency and monetary savings from this device. I would bet my left leg that the HVAC technician told us it would reduce our energy bills and the amount of time we spent fiddling with the air temperature control unit. I really would swear on my mother’s grave that it was intended to revolutionize our heating and cooling system usage within days of installation. So why am I feeling more stressed out and overwhelmed by this brand new thermostat than ever before? I know what you’re thinking – I must be doing something wrong. How could a simple thermostat cause so much drama and confusion? Well, when you have an obsessive compulsive boyfriend with terrible ADD, almost anything can become a big problem. I should have realized that he seemed a bit too interested in the information pamphlets our HVAC technician provided us. I should have anticipated his immense desire to figure out how the smart thermostat connected to the furnace and AC unit. I should have known that he wouldn’t be able to stop fiddling with the thermostat programming day in and day out. Somehow, I overlooked all the signs, and we proceeded with the smart thermostat installation about 3 months ago. Since then, I’ve barely even seen my boyfriend’s face. It’s always buried in the thermostat panel, nose deep in the energy usage and system performance metrics that he has to access several times a day. When the HVAC technician said I wouldn’t ever have to touch the thermostat screen again, he didn’t tell me that my boyfriend would never touch me again, either.

More practical thermal heating pump

Nothing bums me out more than when a good idea isn’t carried out in the best way possible, and the whole thing falls short.

It’s clear that there are very good intentions behind the idea, but sometimes the best of intentions don’t pan out to create the best solution possible.

That’s exactly how I feel about the road construction that took 10 years outside our neighborhood. That’s how I think of the recent development downtown. And most of all, that’s how I feel about geothermal heat pumps. For a few years I’ve been hearing about these alternative air temperature control systems that work very differently than traditional HVAC units. They have a huge advantage to offer most home owners, as the heating and cooling systems operate without any energy input whatsoever. This sets them apart from traditional air conditioning and furnace systems, which suck up a ton of electricity to run every day, and create expensive energy bills each month. The geothermal heat pump, on the other hand, runs through passive energy transfer by moving heat back and forth between the house and an underground energy transfer component. The idea is fantastic for consumers and the climate, alike, however the heat pump system never fully took off! Thankfully, I may not have to feel downtrodden about this inventive failure for too much longer, since Google feels the same way. Now the massive social influencer is actually pushing for geothermal heat pump rebranding and further system development. Finally, the right people are working on the right idea, and it may just change air temperature control forever!

New house is hot upstairs, HVAC duct

When we were moving into the house, we noticed that it was hot and humid up there as we lugged in beds and dressers, but figured the open doors were letting in too much summer heat.

When we first moved into our new home, we knew there were things we wanted to change. We had a modest list of renovations to accomplish in the near future, ranging from replacing the gutters to properly installing the dishwasher. There was a such a huge assortment of tasks that our heads were spinning for the first few months that we lived here. Perhaps that’s how we overlooked the god awful air quality on the top floor of the house for so long, and only discovered the underlying issue last week. You see, when we first came out and looked at the house, we realized that the top floor felt a big hot and stagnant as far as indoor air quality was concerned. Since the house was sitting vacant, we didn’t think much of it, and assumed that the AC unit wasn’t running consistently to establish a common air quality. When we were moving into the house, we noticed that it was hot and humid up there as we lugged in beds and dressers, but figured the open doors were letting in too much summer heat. For the first few months we lived here, we woke up drenched in sweat every night, but I assumed it was all the stress working its way out of my body when I finally passed out at the end of each laborious day. It wasn’t until mid-fall that we finally ran out of excuses for the poor indoor air conditions upstairs, and finally went to investigate the HVAC system. That’s the first time that we actually noticed there was an air duct completely disconnected from the air handler in the crawlspace. Surprise! Add it to the list of renovations, honey!

Looking for house with updated energy efficiency

When you’re house searching it’s pretty easy to feel like you’re running in endless concentric circles, chasing some idealized home that doesn’t exist.

You might go in with a certain set of deal breakers and must-haves, but soon you’ll have completely altered the entire list. It will often feel like you’re trading one necessity for another with each passing home visitation, until you aren’t even sure what your dream home looks like anymore. This has been my experience, anyways. I can tell you with certainty that at least one feature has never left our must-have list in these past 6 months of house hunting – the need for a home with updated features for high energy efficiency. You see, we’re no fools. Though it’s attractive to worry about an updated kitchen or bathrooms, it’s more attractive to think about the energy savings down the road when a home has been properly maintained. All we need to see is an updated AC unit, heating system, and thermostat, and we’re feeling pretty good about the investment. We also want to find energy star rated windows with double paned glass in order to insulate the house as much as possible. We need to see thick, current insulation in the attic and crawlspace, and the external doors have to seal tightly. These features work to ensure that our high quality indoor air will be effectively trapped indoors, rather than escaping outwards. Over time all of these energy efficiency upgrades will save us tons of money, energy, and headaches. That is definitely a must-have.

Enhanced ventilation at home, whole house fan

Man, am I tired of being inside.

I feel like I’ve been staring at the same environment for two weeks straight at this point, and I’m starting to lose my grip, to be honest with you.

The weather outside has been less than ideal, and I’ve been seeking refuge indoors for the past several weeks. I don’t know how much longer I can take it though, before cabin fever officially takes over and I start to go nutty. Not only am I tired of seeing the same walls every night and day, but I’m getting really sick of breathing the same recycled air, as well. You see, with all this bad weather, we have had the house sealed up pretty tight against the outdoor air. Of course we have modern HVAC equipment, but the AC unit is only working to circulate the same old indoor air again and again. I know, this happens to everyone sometimes, and it’s less than ideal when we’re trapped in unnatural air conditions. However, beyond generally being annoyed by the stale quality, I think that my lungs can actually notice the difference. They are starting to itch with every breath I take, and I know that some fresh air would make a big difference The big problem is that it’s too hot and humid during the day to let natural ventilation take over inside the house. At night the temperature dips considerably, but we don’t want to leave the entire house open all night long. That’s why I’ve insisted that we get the whole house fan functioning again. Once it’s operable, we can use the huge ventilation fan to efficiently pull fresh outdoor air inside at night. It will only require the house to be open for an hour or so to fully refresh the indoor air, and I can finally go back to breathing easy.

Houses with tall trees, natural cooling

I’ll tell you without pause that there’s no way I can ever move back to my home state.

It took me a long time to feel this way, as I had to cope with the distance between my family and best friends on earth, but now I realize what an awful place I used to live in.

What was so terrible, you ask? Haha, let me tell you. I am from the northern Midwest, where there is no such thing as a nice day. The air is always either -10 degrees outside, with windchill that brings the realfeel closer to -25, or else it’s 110 degrees outdoors, with humidity that pushes the perceived temperature towards 120. There is essentially no spring or fall season, and instead the air temperature stays low until about May when it swings wildly from bitterly cold to insanely hot in the course of a week. There’s no relief from the continually bad air quality, and everyone is forced to operate their AC units and furnaces year round. It’s ridiculously expensive to operate HVAC equipment 24/7, and the indoor air quality never feels particularly good anyways, since it’s impossible to let fresh air into the house. On top of all that, the terrain is flat and boring, and there are wild winds that pick up across the low lying scenery. In contrast, where I live now is covered with tall and beautiful trees. This arborous city is surrounded by historic vegetation, which improve the look and feel of the region while also improving the air quality outdoors. The trees provide shady protection from the hot sun, and wooded protection from harsh winds. There are many opportunities to enjoy the wondrous scenery outdoors, and we even get to turn off our HVAC systems from time to time.
