The fan helps me a lot to sleep at night

I have been extremely busy more now than I ever have before and it’s affecting my sleep pretty much always.

  • My parents were recently in a disastrous vehicle accident on their way to the grocery store on a random afternoon earlier this year.

Thankfully they managed to survive, but not before being taken to a trauma center via a helicopter. Their vehicle was totally destroyed, so it’s a miracle they even survived. Sadly, they spent weeks in the intensive care unit and now they’re both staying in an assisted living facility temporarily while they move along through rehab and physical therapy. They’re both improving a good amount, but I worry about them pretty much always. I actually think about them when I wake up in the day and I worry a great deal about them at night when I’m really trying to fall asleep. I started taking safe sleeping aids such as benadryl and valerian root, but even these medications were not quite enough all on their own. I’m so glad that I managed to find my old box fan that I purchased when my a/c machine died on me two years back. I had been using it to help circulate whatever minimal breeze I could get into my windows here at my residence. I found that I could fall asleep much more legitimately if I put the fan on high inside my bedroom so I could drown out both physical and mental noise. Now that I have this excellent fan to couple with my benadryl, falling asleep has improved a little amount. I’m just cheerful that things aren’t as drastic as they were previously. I hope in time my parents recover to whatever extent they can. I truly would hate to see both of them spending their final days in an awful assisted living facility.
