Dusty air ducts can cause breathing problems
I’m so thankful that I happened to be listening to an ad on the beatbox.
It was an ad by a local heating, ventilation and A/C contractor promoting ductwork cleaning.
Normally, I just tune out when the commercials start on the beatbox, either that or I simply change the station. For some reason, I tuned into what I was hearing as the heating, ventilation and A/C contractor told myself and others about air quality. I absolutely haven’t paid all that much attention to the heating, ventilation and A/C machine in our house, and that’s mostly my wife’s thing, as she changes the air filters and makes the appointments for heating, ventilation and A/C repair. So, I must have been destined to hear this advertisement because normally I wouldn’t think twice about the heating, ventilation and A/C air ducts. It absolutely did make sense, because I was symptomatic when it came to a recent cold that just lingered and lingered. Suddenly, it just dawned on me that the air quality of our cabin might be the culprit. I ended up calling the heating, ventilation and A/C contractor, and the heating, ventilation and A/C professional confirmed what I was thinking. I made a ductwork cleaning appointment, and when they do the ductwork cleaning they follow up with the ductwork resealing. This not only helps the ducts stay cleaner, but it improves the efficiency of the heating, ventilation and A/C machine as well. Once the heating, ventilation and A/C crew got all the duct cleaning done, I updated the old air filters with a HEPA filter. And now my associate and I have good air quality and I’m no longer symptomatic. My respiratory health bounced right back and our cabin just feels so much cleaner now that the duct cleaning is done.
