Acquiring a real estate license can be extremely beneficial

During the COVID lockdowns, there were so many people who lost their jobs.

Unfortunately, my brother Jason was impacted by it as well.

His company cut almost half their staff and he was caught in the middle of that. Of course, nobody is ever really prepared to lose their jobs prematurely, but sometimes it could be a blessing in disguise. For Jason, losing his job as a Foreman for a construction company was the biggest blessing that he had in his life because he found another job. Within months of losing his job, he applied for a position with a property management company, and he landed it right away. His experience as a Foreman was ideal for him to transition into the new position. Part of his duties working for the property management company is to keep up with property maintenance and repairs. My brother is handy and can fix anything, so he was able to excel in this aspect of the job. In fact, he was able to help the maintenance team with some of the backlog that they had pending for months. In addition to property repair, Jason was also required to know and understand landlord-tenant laws, manage the tenants, collect rents as well as set budgets. Of course, prior to accepting the job with the property management company, he was required to acquire his real estate license to become a real estate agent in the state. It was something that he pursued prior to applying for the position. Once he got his license, so many opportunities opened up for him and eventually, he would like to continue to grow and learn as much as he can within the industry.
