We called a provider from the city for a different price estimate
When my wife and I bought this house, we knew that it was going to need to be fixed up.
There were a lot of different problems with the house.
The flooring in the bedroom was rotted and warped. The tiles in the kitchen needed to be replaced as well. There were so many problems that we honestly didn’t know where to begin. One problem presented itself right away and that’s when we decided to begin all of the renovations. The heating and air conditioning system stopped working a few days before we planned to tear out the flooring in the house. I contacted a local HVAC contractor to get an estimate. I needed to know how much it was going to cost to get the heating and AC unit set up. I did not expect such a high estimate from the heating and AC corporation. I decided to contact a place in the city next door to see if they could offer me any lower estimate. I actually got the same exact price for the equipment, but a much lower rate for the labor. The company had availability to install the new heating and air conditioning equipment as soon as we said yes. Since the company was larger with more employees and time to handle our repair and installation job quickly, my wife and I were happy to go with the lower priced company in the city. A few days after the installation, we received a call from the local company. They wanted to know if we were ready to schedule the service and I had to tell them that we chose someone else in the city. They wanted to know why I chose someone else and I told them that the prices were lower.
