Ductless heat pump helps me get back on our feet
This would be the arena where I started over as a consultant
When I got through the pandemic with our health and task in tact, I thought I was good. Of course, Covid and the pandemic continue. But having the vaccines to ward off the life threatening area of it definitely took a lot of the pressure off. And the office with the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation, and A/C opened up again. It was closed for 18 weeks while the two of us all worked from condo in our own a/c. So going back was nice. I was still nearly a decade from retirement so it was wonderful to still have our task. Well so much for that. I wasn’t back in our office with its own temperature control a week before I got called in to the bosses office. I noted the presence of the HR head and a couple of people from corporate and knew immediately that this wasn’t good. Indeed, they called it downsizing and I call it a salary purge however I was let go as our position was eliminated. The severance package was okay but not close to generous. Still, I woke up the next day and just had no clue what to do with myself. I was love that for about a week before I realized that I had a lot left to offer and now was the time to do that and on our terms. So I cleared out a spare study room and had the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professionals install a ductless heat pump. This would be the arena where I started over as a consultant. And while our office was in our home, the a/c was even better than that zone controlled Heating, Ventilation, and A/C of the old office. Somehow, that helps.
