Ductless heat pump helps me get back on my feet
When I got through the pandemic with my health & job in tact, I thought I was good.
Of course, Covid & the pandemic continue.
But having the vaccines to ward off the life threatening section of it easily took a lot of the pressure off. And the office with the zone controlled HVAC opened up again. It was closed for 18 weeks while every one of us all worked from condo in our own So going back was nice. I was still nearly a decade from retirement so it was good to still have my job. Well so much for that. I wasn’t back in my office with its own control device a month before I got called in to the bosses office. I noted the presence of the HR head & a couple of people from corporate & knew instantly that this wasn’t good. Indeed, they called it downsizing & I call it a salary purge however I was let go as my position was eliminated. The severance package was okay however not close to generous. Still, I woke up the next day & just had no clue what to do with myself. I was appreciate that for about a month before I realized that I had a lot left to offer & now was the time to do that & on my terms. So I cleared out a spare dining room & had the HVAC professionals install a ductless heat pump. This would be the place where I started over as a consultant. And while my office was in my home, the was even better than that zone controlled HVAC of the old office. Somehow, that helps.
