I didn't want to spend all day fighting the heat
I don’t mind being outdoors, even when the temperatures are hot and humid.
Sometimes my girlfriend and I go to the park and ride our bikes, even if the temperatures are around 90°.
We both enjoy getting around the city on our bicycles and it is a fun way to exercise. My girlfriend wanted to go into the city on saturday, and I suggested we drive instead of riding our bicycles. It was supposed to be around 100° that day and I really didn’t want to spend all day on my bicycle. The car would have air conditioning and that would keep us more comfortable. My girlfriend said I was being lazy and she thought that we would enjoy the ride once we were out there. I offered up the idea of using the car again and suggested that air conditioning was going to be something that she wanted once we were downtown in traffic and with the tourists. My girlfriend still refused to budge, so I did what I had to do. I got my bicycle out and prepared to track into the city. I took plenty of water and a bag of trail mix. The wind was blowing, so the ride actually wasn’t too bad. My girlfriend turned out to be 100% correct. I actually didn’t mind writing into the city once we were on our bikes and moving. I was happy that we didn’t take the car and spoil our bodies with the AC. It was much nicer riding there and we had the freedom to move anywhere we wanted without worrying about traffic.
