The next day I was sore and tired
I have been home for summer break for approximately one week and I am already tired and looking forward to going back to school.
This week my dad had me help him with a heat pump and AC installation job.
My dad owns a repair and installation business. He needed some help that did not require any expertise, so he offered to pay me $10 an hour to work the day. I was happy to help out and it gave me some spending money in my pocket while I was home from school. I worked my tail off that day. I was hot and uncomfortable. We spent all day on the heat pump and AC installation job. The only time I got a break from the heat was when my dad and I sat in the truck for lunch. We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a couple of carrot sticks. My dad always eats healthy when he is at work. He says it gives him more room for pie and cake later. My dad and I spent all day installing the new heat pump and air conditioner. By the time I got home, I was beat. I didn’t want to call anybody to hang out. I was sore and tired the next day too. I can’t believe my dad does this every single day. The guy is my hero for sure. There is no way that I would ever choose a career that has me outdoors in the elements all day and every day. I would get tired of doing the same thing day after day.
