The heat pump was exactly what we needed for retirement

It’s pretty strange when something you’ve dreamed about and planned for finally comes true.

  • There aren’t a ton of long term scenarios that come true when you retire.

Honestly, I’m just fortunate that retirement was still an actual option with all the financial challenges we’ve faced in time. However, leaving the zone controlled Heating and A/C of my corner office wasn’t all that straight-forward. While I was gleeful to get going with the next chapter of my life, it was pretty hard to say goodbye to a passion I’d worked at all my adult life. Still, it was about time to turn over that corner office to the next guy who would get to love the perfect heating and cooling of that zone controlled Heating and A/C. My wife was actually the woman who really got it done those last few years prior to me choosing to retire. She called it quits on her work a few years before me and so she started lining up the new life all of us would embark upon. Like many pals, we chose to leave the frosty Winter behind and transfer to the South. I have to say that I wasn’t worried about saying goodbye to the gas furnace and welcoming the heat pump as sole Heating and A/C going forward. The heat pump has more than lived up to the billing as well. That thing entirely is a marvel. We get all the Heating and A/C cooling all of us are in need of while in the nearly 8 months of the year that it’s working. But I was also impressed to see that the heat pump was powerful enough to knock the chill off a mild cold season as well.
