New HVAC gives old cabin new life and more visitors
I hate that but it worked
I realize things change. That’s for sure and so normally, I’m not all that surprised by what’s in style and what’s out of style. But for the life of me, I just can’t figure out why kids want to stay inside the heating and cooling of a house all the time. I get the fact that online gaming is a very big deal. Still, don’t kids want to get outside of the air conditioning some and enjoy just playing? This is a question that has been bothering me a lot for the past few years. I have grandchildren who just don’t care a bit about getting out into the beauty of nature. When my sons were little, they asked all the time if we could get up to the cabin for a long weekend. And I can assure you, there was no residential HVAC, internet or pizza delivery at that cabin. It was just us, some dirt bikes and some good food my wife would pack up for us. Now that I’m the old man, I still get up to the cabin at every opportunity. But until recently, it was often a solo excursion. Finally, I just broke down and did some renovating to the cabin. I had the HVAC company come out to install a ductless multi split system. This is residential HVAC by way of ductless heat pumps that can work together or be customized. And I had satellite internet installed as well. I hate that but it worked. I’m now being joined by my family, including the teens, since the cabin was updated and outfitted with quality heating and air.
