I’m upset if my a/c component will work this year.

Last year the HVAC dealer told my husband and I that our a/c component should be upgraded before the next summer time season.

The next summer time is arriving soon, and I knew we couldn’t afford to purchase a new a/c unit.

Instead of telling the HVAC what we were doing, we just ignored them and didn’t even call to make an appointment to have the AC component tested. I was so upset that our a/c component would not make it through the year. What I should have been upset about was if the a/c component would work at all this year. When it came time to turn the AC component on, nothing happened. All of us either went without a/c all summer time long or we sucked it up and called the HVAC corporation. I asked my husband what he wanted to do, knowing we couldn’t afford a new AC unit. He said we didn’t have a option however to call the HVAC corporation. All of us had a young child who was always crawling around, and we couldn’t go without a/c. All of us considered purchasing a couple window AC unit, however we didn’t like the draft they caused. All of us called the HVAC company and asked if we could get an quote for a new AC unit, and if they provided payment plans. When the HVAC dealer arrived, he evaluated the a/c unit, and then he looked at the temperature control. He said we lucked out because it was a dead battery in the temperature control that wasn’t allowing our AC component to turn on.
