I never worry about AC. I have window a/cs.
Two years ago, the two of us had central a/c installed in our home, then everyone had been telling us that central a/c was the perfect solution to keep our house cool.
Even though the two of us had central AC installed, I was hesitant to detach our window a/cs, but i had never thought there was anything wrong with the temperature of our beach house while in the summer… Our window a/cs seemed to work just fine to keep our beach house cool plus comfortable, plus there wasn’t a draft… With our central a/c, the two of us seem to have areas where it is very very warm, plus other areas where it is chilly plus drafty.
When the two of us first talked about having central AC installed, I told my wife that I thought it was waste of money… She still insisted that central a/c would not just make our beach house more comfortable, however give us some extra bargaining power when or if the two of us ever sold our house… At that point, I didn’t even know the two of us were getting ready to sell our house. When she said that once the youngsters were grown plus out of our house, the two of us may change your mind; That seemed love a logical conclusion, but I still hadn’t been convinced. She had insisted on a central a/c, the two of us would still be using window a/c. As it is, I never worry about the AC. I still have the window a/c units in the windows. Maybe next year, I’ll take the window a/c units out of the windows plus put them away, however I’ll never get rid of them. I love having a backup in case something happens to the central AC.
