I sized our window wrong.
The condo was nearly 200 years old, plus much of it had not yet been modernized
I thought that all window air conditioning units were made to fit in all windows. I measured our window section before going to purchase a window AC unit. When I got to the condo center, plus went back to the window air conditioning units, I was wrong about them being all the same size. They had some immense window air conditioning systems that I knew were not going to fit into our window although our windows were wide enough, there was no way they’re going to fit up plus down. The window I wanted to put the air conditioning unit in was more of a transom size window. It wasn’t a transom, but it was wide, but not high. I thought by putting a window air conditioning system into that window, I could get a bit more airflow plus cooling throughout that area. When I obtained our house, I knew the two of us were going to have some particular troubles. The condo was nearly 200 years old, plus much of it had not yet been modernized. Both of us were still laboring on the modernization, but the two of us wanted Heating plus Air Conditioning in the house. To be honest, the two of us needed the air conditioning more than anything! Not being able to put a window air conditioning unit in that small transom size window, meant that a small section of our condo was regularly going to be sizzling plus humid. My next step, was to call a contractor plus have them come to the condo plus install a normal size window so I could install our modern window AC unit plus get some comfort.
