The HVAC company with the worst reviews turned out to be the best one
When I moved into a new area, one of the first things I had to do was find a good HVAC company.
I checked the reviews for the three different companies in the immediate area; everything else was too far away.
Well, two of the companies had pretty bad reviews and I thought I better steer clear of those places. Then the last HVAC company I checked had awesome reviews, so I thought that was the obvious choice. When I had the HVAC expert over, he wasn’t friendly, didn’t explain what he was doing, and didn’t test the HVAC after he was done. I’m sure he never bothered to touch the thermostat. I don’t know how other people had glowing experiences with this company, but it definitely wasn’t the one. Especially because my HVAC had issues still after this supposed HVAC expert left. I decided to just go with one of the other companies, it was basically a toss up and I was expecting to be disappointed. This guy who they sent out reminded me of an old friend of mine. He was really nice, offered energy tips and other advice, and he never left us in the dark about what he was doing. The other guy acted like somebody who could not be trusted and he didn’t get good results. This new guy though had the HVAC cleaned out and everything. He laughed when we said we just had an HVAC expert come out, and he said, “Some expert!” as he pointed out all the things that guy didn’t bother to do, not even checking the ductwork which was blocked up pretty bad. We got the ductwork cleaned and even a few worn parts swapped out. The HVAC equipment had no issues after that and I made sure to write a positive review for this HVAC company!
