My sister works at an HVAC company
My sister works at an HVAC company and she’s really good at her job.
She’s the only woman I know who works in the heating and cooling business.
She knew that she wanted to become a heating and cooling technician from a very young age. Back when we were kids, she and I would play with our dolls and instead of dressing hers up to go out for a night on the town, she would put her doll in a work uniform and pretend like she was going to work on someone’s gas furnace. I always thought that it was super weird back then, but now I guess we all know why she was doing that! I guess heating, cooling, and ventilation are actually in her blood or something. When she finished up with high school about 10 years ago, she did not even think about going to college. She knew exactly what she wanted to do with her life, and so she enrolled in one of the local technical schools here in town. She got started in the HVAC certification program and went through it easily. She really liked her instructors, and she seemed to know what she was doing from the very beginning. She did really well throughout the whole HVAC course, and by the time it was over, she was positive that she wanted to be an HVAC technician. Now she’s been working at it for years, and she still loves it. Best of all, if we ever have trouble with our heating and cooling system, we just have to call her and she’ll come right over and fix it for us!
