Using an a/c is truly new to me.
I grew up in a truly strict home that didn’t allow us to have a lot of things. In our culture, we didn’t even have electricity in our home, plus all of our household appliances lacked electricity. It was a unusual way to grow up, however I got used to the culture. In fact, when you grow up without something, you don’t even realize that you are missing it. An a/c is one of those things that I never even realized that I was missing. Obviously, I knew that there were electric oil furnaces that people could use because some of our less conservative neighbors had a oil furnace in their home instead of a wood stove. However, I didn’t believe anyone that had an a/c. I spent a lot of time outside in the heat, plus since none of us had ever used an a/c, we had no reason to complain about the heat. The people I was with and I built our houses in a way that didn’t even require an a/c in the first locale. However, when I became an adult, I moved away from that society plus entered into a life that you would consider normal. I had access to all sorts of things, plus the beach house that I moved into had an a/c. Using an a/c is truly new to me, plus I am not even sure how to use them correctly. I always get freezing when I turn on the a/c, plus I haven’t figured out how to balance the temperature correctly. However, I have to confess that I am start to enjoy using the a/c.
