Monkey see, monkey do.

I figured the least the people I was with and I could do was get out of the way plus let the two men play with the gas furnace, while the people I was with and I went shopping

My husband plus his sibling are twins. Even though they are both married plus have families of their own, they are still particularly close. If my husband has something he needs done, he calls his sibling. If Tom needs something done, he will call my husband. It’s just how it is. My mother-in-law says it is a case of monkey see, monkey do. I just call it not being able to do anything by yourself. Last month, I told my husband that there was a concern with our gas furnace. I thought he would either ask me to call the HVAC supplier, or he would call. The first thing he did was to call his sibling plus ask him to come over on the weekend. He said he had a maintenance to be made to the gas furnace plus he needed his help. I called my brother-in-law plus asked his if he was coming over with him, plus he said no. She wanted nothing to do with seeing that pair laboring with any genre of HVAC equipment. I told his I understood how he felt, plus asked if he wanted to go shopping. I figured the least the people I was with and I could do was get out of the way plus let the two men play with the gas furnace, while the people I was with and I went shopping. All of us knew that when the people I was with and I got home, the people I was with and I would actually have to call the HVAC supplier to have the gas furnace respectfully repaired. I guess the people I was with and I spent nearly as much money as what the new gas furnace was going to cost, but the people I was with and I had fun. All of us didn’t need to call the HVAC supplier when the people I was with and I got home, because my husband already had.
