The House Had Baseboard Heat
My dad and I decided to buy and remodel a house together! My dad has been a company for 25 years and I followed in her footsteps right after high university. I obtained my acquaintances degree in corporation at the local community school while I worked full time for him. I understand that not a lot of other people my age have the ability to work full time while going to university, so I’m really grateful for that. The past few years, the 2 of us have talked about starting our own corporation on the side together… All of us wanted to buy and remodel houses as something fun to do! We’d seen a lot of television shows and being companys ourselves would make the process way easier. When we found our first condo to renovate, we jumped at the opening to renovate it. It was in a good part and one of the cheapest houses in the area. All of us saw the potential as soon as we walked through it. A lot of the swings were cosmetic, but there was one really overpriced change we had to make. The condo was so outdated that it had baseboard heating. The baseboard heating was so chunky and an eyesore; Not only was it old, but no homeowner would be able to safely put furniture in front of the baseboard heat because it was a fire hazard. All of us had to take the baseboard heat system out and install a brand new, central HVAC system for the entire house. It was overpriced, but the new HVAC system increased the value tremendously.
