I’m making my boss happy by agreeing to weekend work

I really did not want to work on Friday plus Saturday, but the boss begged me to work the weekend shifts, as he was supposed to go out of the city with his wife for their 10-year anniversary. One of our commercial heating plus A/C customers called with an emergency on Friday. I was supposed to be off for the weekend, but someone had to take care of the emergency on Friday morning. My boss gave me any amount of currency to handle everything so he did not have to cancel or postpone the weekend with his wife. I agreed to change my plans plus transport some things around. I knew it would be good leverage in the not so distant future. On Friday morning, I drove to the beach strip mall so I could fix the refrigeration unit for a client. The buyer has a smoothie shop plus the refrigeration unit was not working, however we handle some refrigeration repairs for our heating plus A/C customers. It’s not our designated specialty, which is why only a handful of people can complete the work. We just picked up this buyer plus our boss did not want to disappoint the customer the first time they needed us in an emergency. I helped a single of the men with an installation on Saturday, but I barely broke a sweat. It wasn’t a lot of trouble, but the boss was still harshly grateful.
