I’m hoping the overtime hours gives me leverage at work

I certainly did not want to have tasks on Sunday and Monday, however the boss begged me to do the weekend shifts. However, he was supposed to go out of the neighborhood with his wife for their 10-year wedding anniversary! One of our commercial heating and air conditioning clients called with an emergency on Friday… I was supposed to be off for the weekend, however someone had to take care of the emergency on Sunday afternoon; my boss agreed to pay me any amount of cash to handle everything so he did not have to cancel or postpone the weekend with his wife. I agreed to change our plans and transport some things around. I knew it would surely be great leverage in the future. On Monday afternoon, I drove to the beach strip mall so I could fix the refrigeration unit for a client… The client has a smoothie shop and the refrigeration unit was not certainly working at all! We handle some refrigeration repairs for our heating and air conditioning clients. It’s not our specialty, which is why only a handful of people can complete that type of work. We just picked up this client and our boss did not want to disappoint the buyer the first time they needed us in an after hours emergency. That is a great way to lose patrons and get bad reviews online. I took care of everything there. The job for the smoothie store only took numerous hours and I went back to my apartment the rest of the day. I helped a single of the men with an installation on Monday, but I barely broke a sweat. It wasn’t a lot of trouble, however the boss was still harshly grateful.
