I forgot how great it was to have A/C
For the past 2 years, I have gone without having any form of cooling. Now in my pampered little city, most people would audibly gasp after hearing what I just said. Really, it’s not nearly as bad as many people make it out to be. I’ve seen so many HVAC commercials where when a person finds out their heating and cooling unit is broken, they practically faint and go running to the HVAC business to fix their HVAC issues. That is just crazy as far as I am concerned, to be that dependent on something like that. A couple of years ago, when my air conditioner had just broken down, I was in a really bad state. I was laid off from my job, and although I was trying to find more work as quickly as possible, I was having difficulty. I went into saving mode, and decided against spending on anything unless it was absolutely necessarily. This meant that my HVAC machine was going without being repaired. It was difficult to adjust to at first, I will admit. But after I got used to the tepid temperatures, it actually wasn’t all that bad. In the beginning it may seem like it never ends, and the temperatures are always on your mind, but after that, you begin to get used to it, and the high temperatures become something in the background. Now that I am in a better situation financially, I was finally able to afford HVAC repair. I will admit, it felt great to have A/C back, and turning it on to my preferred temperature was great, but people still over exaggerate how bad going without HVAC is in my opinion.
