Staying warm without a heater
Now I have to wait for my appointment with HVAC corporation, because they are so busy
I wish I didn’t listen to what the internet said. If there is one thing that I have learned from the internet, is that just because one thing works for one person, doesn’t mean that it’s going to work for everybody. My reading too much online has gotten me into trouble before, because I will usually read about something that will save money or something that really helped someone, and then I will try it myself and it won’t go very well. I had this happen recently when I read online about someone who was saving a ton of money by foregoing having a heater. They explained when their furnace broke down, they decided to not have a HVAC provider repair it, and just wear a light jacket and sweatpants around the house. If it’s really cold, then bring an electric blanket. They continued to brag about how much they were saving, which got me thinking. I decided that next time my heater needs to be repaired I would just skip it. Big mistake. My HVAC unit failed right in the middle of winter, when HVAC companies are at the busiest. I tried the cover and light jacket, but for me, it was just too cold still, and having the comfort of a heating component in your home, even with the expensive price, is well worth it in my opinion. Now I have to wait for my appointment with HVAC corporation, because they are so busy. I wish I had never listened to their advice. Only 3 more weeks to go.
