I had my day wrong.
Over the last year, I have had several times when I questioned my sanity.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has felt that way, considering the state of the world at this moment.
My brain feels like it is on overload. I have been having a hard time just thinking, let alone remembering. I knew I had to have the furnace cleaned and cleaned well, before winter began again. I wanted to call the HVAC company and set up an appointment to have the furnace cleaned, inspected and serviced. I got up off my chair and called the HVAC company. I wanted to make the appointment to have the service technician show up, as soon as possible. I knew I had to have it done before it was running twenty-four hours a day. I was sure that I had the appointment set up for Wednesday morning at 8AM. Tuesday morning at 7AM there was a knock on the door and then the doorbell rang. I looked out my bedroom window and I saw the HVAC service van sitting in my driveway. I couldn’t believe the HVAC technician could have showed up so early. I ran downstairs, still in my pajamas. I asked him why he was there so early. I told him he was twenty-six hours early. I got the calendar and showed him that I had the HVAC inspection scheduled for Wednesday at 8AM and not Tuesday at 7AM.He showed me his work papers, and there it was. My address and name was on the worksheet for the HVAC tech to service my furnace; Tuesday, 7AM.
