The hotel staff was rude and discourteous

My sister and I went to the city to see a show and grab some dinner.

It was her 30th birthday and I wanted to do something special to celebrate.

I bought us two tickets to see a broadway show and I made dinner reservations at one of the finest dining establishments in the city. I knew we would be staying overnight in the city, so I also made a reservation at a hotel. The hotel was two blocks away from the theater, so I knew we would be able to walk. We would not have to spend money on a cab. It can be difficult to find a cheap cab in the city. Our dinner reservation was at a nice italian restaurant that serves the best alfredo sauce in the state. The restaurant was also very close to the hotel. My sister and I arrived at the hotel shortly after four. The room wasn’t ready, so we had to wait thirty minutes in the lobby. I didn’t mind, since our show tickets weren’t until much later. Unfortunately, the room became a huge problem. The hotel staff escorted us to the room. As soon as we opened the door, the terrible smell hit us in the face. I could tell the bellhop smelled it too, because I saw his face. The odor was coming from the HVAC unit. I walked into the room and headed right to the HVAC unit. I told the guy it was a horrible smell and I requested another room. The bellhop told me the smell was due to the age of the room and not the HVAC unit. He didn’t want to change my room assignment, but I didn’t take no for an answer.
