I don’t savor being late for appointments.
If there is one thing I can’t abide, it is being late.
I have a family that has no method what it is savor to be early or even on time.
If I tell someone I am going to be there at 7, I am there by no later than 6:50. If something happens that I may be late, I call ahead of time to let the people know. When I had to have the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C tech come to the apartment and clean and service our oil furnace, I was miserable when they provided myself and others a four hour window. This was silly that the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C dealer couldn’t supply you a more definitive window. An hour or even 2 hours may have been sufficient, however four hours? This meant I had to either leave work early or go in late. If the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C tech showed up later, I could even end up missing an entire day of work. My biggest worry about missing an entire day of work, came to fruition. I didn’t even get a cellphone call from the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C tech telling myself and others that she would be late. I called work and explained what was going on and that I wasn’t going to make it into work. My boss was irritated that I wasn’t going to make it, however I didn’t have a choice. Now, I was not only miserable that the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C tech was going to be late, however I was missing an appointment with a client. My boss said she would cover our appointment, however it was the only time she would cover for me. I called the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C dealer and yelled at them for the incompetence of their Heating, Ventilation plus A/C professional.
