The shipping container home needed heat and AC
I really like the place and it looks much nicer than I thought it would
When my son told me that he was going to buy a shipping container and turn it into a house, I thought he was crazy. He was convinced that it was an affordable and easy way to live. He told me that he found a couple of acres of properties in the country for a relatively small amount of money. He had to order the container from a shipyard. The delivery fees were outrageous, but the container wasn’t expensive. After the container arrived, my son had to hire a contractor to help him turn the container into a livable space. I was really concerned about the heat and AC, because the container didn’t have any space for it ductwork or even a window. The contractor had a great idea for the project. The guy installed a ductless heating and AC machine. The ductless heating and AC unit is located on the wall inside the container. The contractor cut a space big enough for the machine and installed all of the pieces and parts. The ductless HVAC unit blends in well with the furniture and the rest of the furniture. Since the machine uses ductless options and a closed loop system, it’s also great for my son’s allergies. I really like the place and it looks much nicer than I thought it would. I think my son had a great idea and I’m really proud of the kid for dreaming big. Next year, he is thinking about adding another container to the house and building a walkway. Then he will have an entire container for his master bedroom.
