I don’t miss renting or the HVAC that went with it
Unlike various of my peers, somehow I was able to own a lake house the vast majority of my adult life.
Actually, I don’t suppose I lived in an lake house for much more than a year after school.
I ended up saving up to buy a small lake house with baseboard heating in addition to window air conditioning. It wasn’t self-explanatory but, I’m actually blissful that I chose to buy in addition to build equity from the start. Money was tight even though I ended up making a superb profit on that lake house when I sold it. That was awesome because it allowed me to buy a nice place with superb HVAC to start my life with my partner. From there, the people I was with and I bought another place when the kids started coming along. In fact, the people I was with and I just sold that place after upgrading the HVAC. Boy, do I ever miss that HVAC. When the people I was with and I sold that house, the people I was with and I decided to pare down our lives. That meant going into a rented home for a while. With the kids gone in addition to retirement looming in the not so distant future, the people I was with and I wanted to provide ourselves a chance to figure out our next move. So renting seemed the thing to do. That looks as though it is hastily becoming a mistake. I miss the days where I could simply do something about whatever wasn’t right in my home. Don’t get me wrong, I care about not having to chop my grass. And having the rental business take care of some issues is fine. However, they are not taking care of the HVAC at all. I have come to the conclusion that this is due to the HVAC not being at all the right size for the volume of the condo.
