Unlike several of our peers, somehow I was able to own a apartment the vast majority of our adult life.
Actually, I don’t guess I lived in an apartment for much more than a year after school.
I ended up saving up to buy a small chalet with baseboard heating & window air conditioning. It wasn’t simple but, I’m honestly blissful that I chose to buy & build equity from the beginning. Money was slim although I ended up making a superb profit on that chalet when I sold it. That was awesome because it allowed me to buy a nice locale with superb HVAC to beginning our life with our partner. From there, we bought another locale when the youngsters started coming along. In fact, we just sold that locale after upgrading the HVAC. Boy, do I ever miss that HVAC. When we sold that house, we decided to pare down our lives. That meant going into a rented apartment for a while. With the youngsters gone & retirement looming in the not so distant future, we wanted to supply ourselves a occasion to figure out our next move. So renting seemed the thing to do. That looks as though it is swiftly becoming a mistake. I miss the days where I could simply do something about whatever wasn’t right in our home. Don’t get me wrong, I like not having to split our sod. And having the rental business take care of some troubles is fine. However, they are not taking care of the HVAC at all. I have come to the conclusion that this is due to the HVAC not being at all the right size for the volume of the condo.
