My Renters Always Complain About Their Heat and Air Bills

One of our least number one things about being a building owner is dealing with the tenants that live in our properties. Occasionally, I get a great tenant who takes care of our property and pays their bills on time… Unfortunately, those types of tenants are few and far between. Most of our tenants are needy, regularly complaining, and regularly paying their rent a month too late. When I first started renting properties, 1 of the largest complaints I got was about the heat and air bills. A lot of tenants thought their utility bills were too high, so they were regularly calling and complaining about how inefficient the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C idea was. A lot of people thought I should replace the whole Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system, claiming I’d installed a cheap, money-sucking piece of equipment. However, that wasn’t the case at all! I regularly installed the best Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit and I hired Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professionals to come repair all our property’s Heating, Ventilation, and A/C systems twice per year. I never expected our tenants to pay for Heating, Ventilation, and A/C servicing. I knew how appealing our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C systems were, however our tenants were careless and didn’t take care of the unit officially. They were genuinely rough on their control unit settings, and regularly leaving doors and windows open while the heat and air were running. It’s no wonder their heat and air bills were so high! I tried sending out flyers to all our properties listing ways they could save money on their heat and air bills, despite the fact that I doubt they actually read the information. I’m not sure there’s much more I could do for them.
