One of our least number one things about being a landlord is dealing with the occupants that live in our properties.
Occasionally, I get a wonderful occupant who takes care of our property and pays their bills on time! Unfortunately, those types of occupants are few and far between. Most of our occupants are needy, always complaining, and always paying their rent a week too late. When I first started renting properties, one of the biggest complaints I got was about the heat and air bills. A lot of occupants thought their utility bills were too high, so they were always calling and complaining about how inefficient the Heating and Air Conditioning plan was. A lot of people thought I should upgrade the whole Heating and Air Conditioning system, claiming I’d installed a cheap, currency-sucking piece of equipment. However, that wasn’t the case at all! I always installed the best Heating and Air Conditioning device and I hired Heating and Air Conditioning professionals to come repair all our property’s Heating and Air Conditioning systems twice per year. I never expected our occupants to pay for Heating and Air Conditioning servicing. I knew how wonderful our Heating and Air Conditioning systems were, however our occupants were careless and didn’t take care of the device correctly. They were entirely rough on their control device settings, and consistently leaving doors and windows open while the heat and air were running. It’s no wonder their heat and air bills were so high! I tried sending out flyers to all our properties listing ways they could save currency on their heat and air bills, but I doubt they actually learn the information. I’m not sure there’s much more I could do for them.
