This year for her birthday, I’m getting my wife a smart thermostat
I know this sounds like a bad idea to most people, but I’m going to get my wife a smart thermostat for her birthday this year.
- I know, I know.
Most husbands would give me the advice of not ever buying my wife something useful for her birthday. I guess that comes from years of hearing about wives being mad because they received a toaster or a new vacuum as a gift, but my wife isn’t like that. She doesn’t like cologne or jewelry or fancy clothes. I think that I really hit the jackpot when I ended up with her, because she is definitely not a high maintenance woman. This year, she has been asking for something new for our HVAC system. I know that sounds weird, but she is all about upgrading our heating and cooling system whenever we get the chance. Last year, for Christmas, she wanted to skip all the other presents and get radiant heated flooring put in our bathrooms, the bedroom, and the kitchen. I can really appreciate a woman who thinks that way! Anyway, she wanted something else to help out with our heating and cooling system and I have decided on a new smart thermostat system. With a smart thermostat, she will be able to adjust our temperature settings from anywhere at all with her smartphone. Also, the smart thermostat will learn our schedules and eventually, it will help us to save money on our heating and cooling bills. I think she’s going to love it, and I’m so glad she isn’t like most other women that I know!
