What should I do about my thermostat?
I have no idea what I should do about my thermostat.
Right now, I cannot figure out how to use my new thermostat.
My children thought that it would be nice to finally buy me a new thermostat. I have been using an old thermostat for a long time, and it was time to replace the thermostat. The thermostat wasn’t working properly anymore. I figured that I would just buy the same kind of thermostat, but my kids were insistent that I should get a newer thermostat. They said that the newer thermostats had a lot more features and would work a lot better than my old thermostat. Initially, I was nervous. I have been using the same kind of thermostat for a long time, and I was afraid that I would not be able to figure out how to use my new thermostat. However, my children promised that they would show me how to use my new thermostat, so I hesitantly decided to let them get me the thermostat. They even paid the HVAC technician to install the thermostat. While my children were there, they showed me how to use the new thermostat, and I had it working properly. However, after they left, I totally forgot how to use the thermostat. I am very forgetful, and I was worried about it. I called my son, and he came by to show me how to use the thermostat again. I have forgotten how to use my thermostat six times so far, and now, I am stuck. I have asked my kids multiple times, but it seems that I am not going to be able to retain the information. What am I supposed to do? They already bought and installed the thermostat. I can’t just buy a new one!
