Vegas is way too hot for my liking
When people decide that a garden wedding is perfect, most of the time the event is either too hot or too cold, too sunny or raining
My girlfriend sent out invites for her bachelorette party and I was thrilled to be invited. That is until I realized that I would have to purchase a ticket to Vegas to join in the fun. I don’t mind flying but I wasn’t thrilled about buying a ticket to somewhere I never wanted to go in the first place. Many people love to vacation in the hot desert air, I am not one of them. Give me a cool, shaded vacation in the mountains and I am in Heaven. I knew that the gang would want to hang out on the strip at night and lounge by the pool during the day. All of that would also involve a lot of drinks which would make the sun feel even hotter. If I decided to go I would want to hang out in the hotel room or in a casino during the day where it was air conditioned. At least the evenings are cooler once the sun goes down but I would be missing out on a lot of the fun during the day. I made the decision to tell my friend that I couldn’t go due to work. I told her that I didn’t have the vacation time on the books. She said that she understood but that she would miss having me with her to celebrate. I am looking forward to her wedding here at home and I am thankful that it is being held in a climate controlled space. The best weddings, in my opinion, are the ones where all the guests and the bridal party are comfortable throughout the entire event.
