I didn’t care for the electric fireplace
Although looking for your dream home can be hard, it can be even harder when you’re looking with a partner.
- Why? Because sometimes what you like and what your partner likes doesn’t match up.
I had this problem with my spouse. We both had a house that we were in love with, and neither of us wanted to give up the home we wanted. The main thing I was looking for in a home was a gas fireplace. I always loved gas fireplaces, they not only look beautiful but they make a great back up heater as well. The house my husband liked, did not have a fireplace, and it was far too expensive to have one installed. My husband, in an attempt to get me to like the home he wanted, suggested getting an electric fireplace. But I did not care for electric heaters, I really didn’t want an electric fireplace, I wanted the real deal. I guess this bothered my husband, because he went out and bought an electric furnace, perhaps in an attempt to change my mind. But even after he had it set up and running, I still really was not feeling the fireplace. He ended up returning it, and we are still stuck on the issue. Because I want a home that has a fireplace, and he wants his dream house, which is without a fireplace. I am hoping we can find a home that looks like his dream home, but also has a fireplace, but for now, we will keep looking.
