I’m glad I was able to find my box fan to help me sleep better
I have been stressed more now than I ever have before as well as it’s affecting my sleep a great deal.
My parents were recently in a disastrous car accident on their way to the grocery store on a random day earlier this year.
Gratefully they survived, however not before being taken to a trauma center via a helicopter. Their car was entirely destroyed, so it’s a miracle they even survived. Regrettably, they spent weeks in the intensive care unit as well as now they’re both remaining in an assisted living facility temporarily while they go through rehab as well as physical therapy. They’re both improving a good amount, but I worry about them all of the time. I honestly think about them when I wake up in the morning as well as I strongly worry about them at night when I’m desperately trying to fall asleep. I started taking safe sleeping aids such as benadryl as well as valerian root, however even these medications were not enough all on their own. I’m really glad that I found our seasoned box fan that I bought when our cooling appliance died on myself and others several years ago. I had been using it to help circulate whatever minimal breeze I could get into our windows here at my property. I found that I could fall asleep so much easier if I put the fan on high inside our entryway so I could drown out both physical as well as mental noise. Now that I have this fan to couple with our benadryl, falling asleep has improved a little bit. I’m just thankful that things aren’t as extreme as they were in the past. I hope in time our parents are able to recover to whatever extent they can manage. I would really hate to see both of them spending their final days in a cramped assisted living facility.
