The white noise from the fan helps me to sleep

I have been stressed more now than I ever have before plus it’s affecting my sleep regularly.

My parents were in a disastrous car accident on their way to the grocery store on a random afternoon earlier this year.

Happily they survived, however not before being taken to a trauma center via a helicopter. Their car was entirely destroyed, so it’s a miracle they even made it through. Sadly, they spent weeks in intensive care plus now they’re both staying in an assisted living facility temporarily while they go through rehab plus physical therapy. They’re both improving a bit, however I certainly worry about them always. I honestly think about them when I wake up in the day plus I strongly worry about them at night when I’m desperately attempting to fall asleep. I started taking safe sleeping aids such as benadryl plus valerian root, however even these medications were not enough by themselves. Fortunately, I found our seasoned box fan that I purchased when our cooling appliance died on me roughly two years ago. I had been using it to help circulate whatever minimal breeze I could get into our windows here at our dwelling. I found that I could fall asleep a great deal easier if I put the fan on high inside our bedroom so I could drown out both physical plus mental noise. Now that I have this fan to couple with our benadryl, falling asleep has actually gotten easier for me. I’m just thrilled that things aren’t as extreme as they were in the past. I hope in time our parents are able to recover to whatever extent they can. I would truly hate to see both of them spending their final days in a cramped up assisted living facility.
