All the gaps have been resealed in the cabin
We’re not sure what is going in our cabin, but we’ve had a drastic problem with having drafts in our home.
We used to not have any issues with drafts at all so we are starting to think that it’s just an age thing.
We know that as our cabin gets older it’s going to develop more places in it that need to be repaired and worked on. Occasionally, we will sit on the couch and then we will feel it only for a few seconds. But we can clearly feel a draft coming in through somewhere in the house. We also have one in the living room and one in the bedroom. There’s also one in the downstairs lavatory. We know that if we’re going to seal these drafts, we are going to have some drastic work to do. Because we do not know where they are coming from, we are going to have to go on an Easter egg hunt hunting for the sites where air is escaping. We decided to dedicate such work to the weekend. When Sunday came around, we did not waste any time looking and after multiple hours we did find all the drafts and then we carefully resealed them. Now we do not have our cool air for the AC that was keeping our home cool escaping to the outside anymore. It was no wonder that our AC was struggling to keep the home cool. All the cool air was escaping. However now that these areas have been filled in that should not be an issue anymore.
