It's smart to keep a maintenance contract with the HVAC company
I wish I had a handyman to help me out with some of the work in my house. It’s not that I can’t do it on my own, it’s that I don’t really have the time with how busy my work schedule is. It’s really hard for me to find time outside of working it behind my computer to clean my garage or fix my rain gutters. Recently I repainted my tool shed and it took another 2 hours longer than I expected. This might seem like nothing to most people, but unfortunately that means 2 hours I couldn’t spend working and making money. In that sense, it would almost be easier if I could simply hire somebody to help me. I wouldn’t try to work on my own HVAC system even if I had the certifications and licensing. That’s why I hired a heating and cooling company to do that work for me. And I have a service and maintenance contract with that heating and cooling company. This is how I stay up to date with my HVAC service and maintenance. If you don’t keep up with your HVAC system, it won’t last as long as it could. Some people will go several years without having an HVAC company service and maintain their furnace or air conditioning system. And if you live in a part of the country where you need a furnace or an air conditioner for a good portion of the year, you’re going to need service and maintenance to keep those machines running. Changing filters regularly is important as well.
