Now he is in the process of getting a generator

Being the owner of a beach house seems high-priced and glamorous for folks.

To be honest, it’s the best thing ever. Pat gets to wake up to the sound of the ocean, and the birds in his trees. Plus, most evenings he gets to watch the magical sunset that happens on the horizon. Still, there’s another side to living so close to the water. Pat comes face to face with this each year when it’s hurricane season; Though he isn’t always in the direct path of hurricanes, he gets to feel the after effect. The rain, water, and so much debris that washes up on his beach. With temperature rising, things seem to be getting worse. Pat learned this the hard way this year. There were hurricane warnings all over the area, which was too close to home. This had him worried because this hadn’t happened before. Lucky for him, the freak weather happened away from his area, but it was strong enough to knock the power off. Pat never went without A/C at the beach house for more than a few hours. However, it was 3 days before he had power back, and could use the air conditioner to cool his home. This whole incident had him thinking about the future. Now Pat is in the process of getting a generator to ensure he has electricity even when the power is out. Plus, he is looking into reinforcing the house just in case he has such terrible weather next summer. A beach house without A/C can be a literal nightmare given the heat and humidity he gets in summer.
