Changing plans for my electric heat pump

I’m glad to be living in a lake house that is just about everything my wife and I could have ever wanted… From the custom cabinets to the radiant floor heating provided by the geothermal heat pump, my lady and I love this site.

But it sure wasn’t part of the original plans when it came to this chapter in our lives. Retirement plans always revolved around moving to the south where the heat pump is king, as we have both spent all of our lives in the far northern reaches of the country. And of course, that came with severe winters that required either a gas furnace or a boiler to manage, but the older my honey and I became, the more we dreamed of trading all that heat from the heating, ventilation, and A/C machine for a bunch of a/c down south. We were well down the road to making this a reality as well. We’d found the area and had started the process of getting the family home ready to sell. We both had some renovations that had to be done before we could list the house. That included getting all current residential heating, ventilation, and A/C and that latest when it came to heating, ventilation, and A/C technology. But just as my associate and I retired and sold the house, our child had our first grandchild. She doesn’t live in the south but more in the middle. So we took our profit from the sale of the family home and built a venue near our current grandbaby. Going with the geothermal heat pump was definitely the way to go when it came to getting the sort of quality heating and air that my wife and I wanted.
