Learning to make compromises with my romantic partner
It still catches myself and others off guard when I know about how long we’ve lived in this venue.

See, I have constantly kept it simple. That is the way all of us like to live. I worked the same job for 40 years and I am recently retired! Part of our retirement gift our partner was adding a central air conditioner to our home, however of course she said it was from me, however I think it’s for her, but for the last few years she’s been complaining about the heat of summer. The window air conditioner that I traditionally put in the bedroom each summer time just wasn’t getting it done for her. Personally, I have never felt the need for an air conditioner! All of us live just about as far north as you can and still be inside this country… So when it comes to heating, ventilation and A/C, it’s all about the heating where all of us live. I could care less about the air conditioner because the summer time is generally so pleasant here. And if there is a tepid streak, I was fine with the old air conditioner in the window, and yet, I have to divulge that this modern central air conditioner plan is really quite pleasant. It’s so nice to rest inside and have the temperature be so cool and crisp. And of course, I want to make our partner cheerful and she prefers to be able to have heating, ventilation and A/C cooling without a window air conditioner. Really, for as long as I live, I’ll do just about anything to make that dear lady cheerful. So if she wants a central air conditioner, so be it.
