I’m going to miss this job

After a very long and fulfilling career working as a HVAC repair Tech for a living I am officially calling it a career next month.

Despite the fact that coming to this decision was extremely hard for me and something that took me a very long time to decide on, at the end of the day I thought that it would be better to leave when I had a little bit more gas left in the tank rather than when I was already too old to do the job at a high level.

Ever since I announced my upcoming retirement I’ve had many friends and family have been asking me what I’m going to miss the most about working as a HVAC repair Tech. While this is somewhat of a complicated question to answer and there are more than just one thing that comes to mind, the thing that tends to jump to the front of my mind is the people that I have been able to serve in the community over the past 25 years. During these times I have been lucky enough to meet some of the most amazing and kind men and women across the area and I have been able to form bonds with them that will last far beyond my HVAC career. It is never easy to call it quits on something that you have done all of your life and something that you truly love, however hopefully my legacy as a HVAC Tech will live on and it’ll be something for my family and friends to be proud of for years to come.
