Can’t do without lots of HVAC heating
This really is far worse than I had anticipated.
Had I maybe spent a week up here in the winter prior to moving, that could have proven to be pivotal in my decision making process.
But that really wasn’t feasible. And when I came up for my initial interview, it was summer and the zone controlled HVAC cooling was on in the offices. So, it’s not like I could have gauged just what sort of winter situation that I was walking into. Nope, but that zone controlled HVAC office sure put a hit on me though. I couldn’t believe that I was actually hitting the big time. They really rolled out the red carpet for me as well. It was quite the 3 day interview process which was complete with wining and dining. Sort of made all those years of slogging my way up the ladder seem a bit more worth it. But when winter came in, it came in fast. And that was the worst. Thankfully, the house I just bought came replete with brand new residential HVAC. That at least saved me from having to figure out the difference in HVAC heating methods. Mine is a gas furnace and although it was new, I had the HVAC technician come out to have a look at it. He made sure that it was right and ready to go for the winter. And man, have I ever put it to use. I can hardly go from my car to my front door it’s that cold. And I just don’t do cold very well. Prior to moving up here, my idea of winter was getting to wear some clunky boots a few times.
