I hired a social media management company to help with my home based business
I have a cake decorating business that I run from my home.
So far, word of mouth has been all of the advertising that I have done, and that’s been enough for me up until this point.
Then my daughter graduated from high school and she has decided that she wants to go into business with me and expand our offerings to include cupcakes and cake pops. I love all of her ideas, and I’m pretty excited that she’s thinking about working with me! One of her ideas was to hire a social media management company to do a lot of their digital marketing services for us. Apparently, when you know what you’re doing, you can use something called search engine optimization to help grow your web presence and your business opportunities. I had never heard of search engine optimization before; my expertise is only in baking! I don’t know the first thing about web design, internet marketing, or search engine optimization services. It’s a good thing that my daughter will be around to help grow our business, that’s for sure. She knows so much more about internet marketing and social media management than I ever could figure out. I think that I will just stick to the kitchen, figuring out new recipes and decorating techniques. I will let my daughter take care of hiring a social media management company for us. I’m way more creative minded than business minded, so I hope she knows what she’s getting herself into! I’m easy to work with but I will be the first to admit that I don’t know a thing about social media management!
