A drunk HVAC technician?
While he was trying to open the AC unit, I was on the phone to the HVAC company.
I have never thought of myself as being unfair or even judgmental. I have a family that is about as imperfect as it can get. It took a lot for us to get our lives together and figure out right from wrong. I can’t preach what people’s standards should be. I have to say that there are some things I know that just aren’t right. Like the HVAC technician that came to my house the other day. I think the worst thing any professional can do is to show up drunk at a job. When you are working with sensitive things, it is even worse. I had called to have my routine maintenance done on my air conditioning unit. The man who showed up to do the maintenance had a tough time getting out of his service van. He dressed like an HVAC technician and he carried the tools of an HVAC technician. His attitude was not that of an HVAC technician. He was flirtatious and more than a bit drunk. He did go right to the air conditioning once I showed him where it was. While he was trying to open the AC unit, I was on the phone to the HVAC company. I wanted them to know what was going on. Even before we hung up, they had another HVAC technician on his way. There was a second HVAC tech in the van who escorted our tipsy tech to his van and drove him back to the HVAC company. I don’t know what happened when they got back to the office, but I’m pretty sure the HVAC tech will be looking for a new job.
