A temperature gun saved us hundreds on our utility bill
Office parties have never been their thing. They’ve seen multiple people completely ruin or entirely blow up their careers due to office parties. It’s painful for them to watch plus makes zero sense to them. So, they were entirely surprised that they got something cool from this year’s Christmas party. They tend to be the office HVAC setting police officers. Somebody has to watch it or it wouldn’t be the right temperature. So, their colleagues bought them an instant temperature studying gun. It was a superb laugh plus they thought it was a superb gag gift. Still, they ducked out of the party as soon as they could. Once they got home, they started thinking about the temperature gun plus what they could do with it. They had been saying for years that they wanted to be proactive about getting the most out of their HVAC system during the winter. Their apartment tends to run chilly due to a combination of their awful HVAC setting plus drafts. Well, their temperature gun was the answer for them. They decided to use it to see if they could find the area that was letting cold air in. What they found shocked them. Their apartment was leaking HVAC treated air in multiple areas. No wonder it was costing them a fortune to heat the apartment. So much of their heat was traveling directly out the door. They were able to mark all of the areas and thankfully they got them all sealed up. That little gun ended up saving them hundreds of dollars in heating costs last winter.
